The history of Microsoft
All of you might have heard of the name Microsoft but have you ever thought of knowing the history of Microsoft? We all know that Microsoft Corporation is said to be the multinational computer technology corporation. If you are interested in knowing its history then read ahead.
The history of Microsoft basically began in the year 1975 and its forefathers were Bill Gates and Paul Allen. The current product which is considered to be the best sellers of Microsoft are the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite of the productivity software. Microsoft develops, manufactures as well as licenses and supports various software products for the devices used for computing. Bill Gates gave the name MITS to the creators of the new microcomputers and although they had no outside assistance they succeeded in creating an interpreter which was helpful in demonstrating the implementation of the BASIC programming language for the computer. The first operating system introduced the first version of Microsoft's word processor which is known as the Microsoft Word. Word was also the first application which had the ability to display the bold text.
Then DOS was introduced which was so remarkable that it gave the company its real success. Microsoft also introduced its first international production in Ireland first of all. Thus, the popularity of Microsoft rose to such an extent that now Microsoft has even expanded its product line into the computer networking as well as the World Wide Web. The latest version of Microsoft windows which is released in the year 2007 is known as the Windows Vista.
